ShiftStarters ("we", "us", "our") is a UK job board helping young people find weekend and evening work. We operate at www.shiftstarters.com.

If you apply for a job using our Quick Apply feature, we collect:
This information is forwarded directly to the employer you are applying to, via our email delivery service (EmailJS). We also store a record of the application in our secure database (Google Sheets) for 90 days, after which it is deleted. We do not share your application details with any other employer or third party.
We use this to send you a weekly email of new jobs relevant to your area. We use Beehiiv to manage our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send you.
Employer contact details are stored securely and are never shown publicly on the site. They are used only to communicate with the employer about their listing and to receive job applications.
If you have accepted analytics cookies, Google Analytics (GA4) collects anonymised data about how you use the site — pages visited, time spent, device type, and approximate location (city level). This data does not identify you personally and is used only to help us improve the site.
If you have accepted marketing cookies, Google Ads conversion tracking collects data to measure which adverts lead to job applications. This helps us run more effective ads but does not identify you personally.
No analytics or marketing scripts load until you have given your consent via our cookie banner.

We take reasonable steps to protect your data. Our database is hosted on Google's infrastructure with access restricted to authorised personnel only. Application emails are delivered over encrypted connections. Employer contact details are never publicly exposed.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately at hello@shiftstarters.com.
ShiftStarters is designed for young people aged 14 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are under 16 and wish to use our Quick Apply feature, we recommend letting a parent or guardian know.
We deliberately do not ask applicants for their date of birth or exact age — applicants simply confirm they meet the minimum age requirement for the role. This is a deliberate design decision to protect young people from fake listings that harvest age data.
